Hotel Del Coronado
This historic and iconic beach resort has long been heralded as one of the top resorts in the country. Originally acquired in 2006 via a joint venture involving Strategic Hotels & Resorts, the Hotel del Coronado was recapitalized in 2011 through which a new ownership joint venture was formed between Strategic Hotels, Blackstone Real Estate Advisors and KSL Resorts. Today, the Hotel del Coronado features 679 recently renovated rooms, 78 luxury hotel-condo cottages and villas, more than 14,000 square feet of retail destinations, multiple restaurant and bar offerings, more than 110,000 square feet of meeting space and the renowned "The Spa at the Del," which features 21 treatment rooms and a state-of-the art fitness center.
The resort has been repeatedly heralded by travel publications and industry organizations for its best-in-class facilities, beach, spa and overall experience. Among many others, this includes being named to USA Today's "Top 10 Resorts in the World" list, Travel + Leisure's "Top 20 Hotel Spas in the World" list, and "America's Best Beaches" list by the Wall Street Journal.
